Interactive and 3-D Technologies
Touch is changing the way we interact with computers and content in a fundamental fashion.
Thus enabling us to control devices and interact with digital content with a finger touch or gesture rather than keyboard or mouse.
The widespread adoption of touch screens is consumer driven. The consumer’s love affair with touch can be seen in the iPhone/iPad phenomenon, and is driving the touch interface from niche to mainstream.
Large-format touch screens can do the following:
- Act as a ‘digital library’ interface, providing access to information or assets
- Reduce the need for staff to provide information
- Provide way finding or route planning, enabling visitors to locate their position, find out where they want to go and how to get there.
- Help customers explore purchase options and customise products
- Provide multi-language interfaces from a single display
- Provide a easy-to-use interface for the young, elderly or those with learning or physical difficulties.
- Integrated with third-party add-ons such as printers to create large format kiosks, for ticketing, self check-in or surveys for instance
- Integrated with Bluetooth or email for ‘send to my phone’ or ‘email me’ communication, as an alternative to printed information

3-D is also an emerging technology with a host of myths already being attached to it.
However, our consultants are on hand to help discuss how 3-D can be used in a commercial environment and indeed, which of the types would best suit you.
Education, healthcare and retail are all sectors where the use of 3-D technology can already be found and there’s nothing to stop the use of 3-D presentations being used in the board room.
