Cracking the cyber insurance dilemma

Cyber insurance policy rates have skyrocketed due to the increase in frequency and cost of ransomware cases over the past year. But due to the rising rates of cyber attacks in the UK, taking no policy is not an option either, which creates a dilemma.

Counting the cost of cyber insurance

How costly is costly, exactly? According to the Ponemon Institute’s Cost of Data Breach Report 2021, Ransomware attacks cost businesses an average of $4.62 million – and that doesn’t even include the cost of the actual ransom.

Where cyber insurance fits in

To combat the threat of such attacks, many organisations are turning to cyber insurance. This trend is more acute because many traditional insurance products exclude cyber security risks.

What’s the solution?

Watch this webinar from the Bitdefender Managed Detection & Response (MDR) team to learn the basics of cyber insurance, its history, types of cyber insurance offerings, what it takes to qualify, and finally, how the cyber insurance market is evolving and what it means for you.

Why Bitdefender?

Bitdefender offers solutions for organisations of all sizes, industries, and differing requirements.

GravityZone Business Security Enterprise combines the world’s most effective endpoint protection platform with Endpoint Detection and Response (EDR) capabilities. This helps organisations defend endpoint infrastructure (workstations, servers, and containers) across the threat lifecycle, with high efficacy and efficiency.

The cross-endpoint event correlation takes threat detection and visibility to a new level combining the granularity and rich security context of EDR with the infrastructure-wide analytics of XDR (eXtended Detection and Response).

By incorporating Risk Analytics (for endpoint and user-generated risks) and hardening innovations natively, we minimize the endpoint attack surface, making it more difficult for attackers to penetrate.
