Following a comprehensive project to review its cyber security processes and policies, Complete IT Systems has achieved the UK Government-backed Cyber Essentials Certification.

Across our offices in Bradford, Leicester, Glasgow and now Swansea, the certification underlines Complete IT Systems’ commitment to provide the very best cyber security practices to meet modern challenges. It enables us to:

As part of the process, we evaluated our firewalls, application assets, patch management policies, user access controls, anti-malware protocols, and remote device management.

Cyber Essentials will help Complete IT Systems to guard against the most common cyber threats and demonstrate our commitment to cyber security. With this knowledge we will help our customers do the same.

It’s Premier League time for Complete IT Systems, as the Bradford-based IT services provider energises its sponsorship strategy, and is proud to partner with Burnley FC for the 2021-22 season.

One of the most famous old clubs in English football, Burnley’s “Hold to the Truth” motto fits well with Complete IT Systems values of providing trusted IT and technology advice to customers across the UK and overseas.

Building on their shared values, Complete IT Systems and Burnley FC will use the partnership to create combined values for our customers.

The deal will see Complete IT Systems’ logo in lights inside and outside Turf Moor on matchdays throughout the season, including the external corner screen and advertising hoardings. Networking events and hospitality will also enable the Yorkshire-based IT experts to host customers and prospects to enjoy some time away from the office.

Ben Gregg, Sales Director at Complete IT Systems had this to say about the new sponsorship. “I am a big football fan myself, so naturally I am excited we will be involved in the Premier League for the coming season. Growth in Glasgow – we’ve up-sized our offices in Scotland

In order to keep pace with the huge growth we’re seeing in our Scottish business, Complete IT Systems relocated last year to more modern, larger offices in Glasgow.

The move to the new premises in Brand Street came at a time of a sharp increase in growth for the business and has created a number of new jobs in our Scottish team. But when we got the keys in February 2020, lockdown meant we spent the time getting the office space ready for reopening.

Even during the COVID-19 crisis, CIT has continued with its plans to expand the business and create new jobs at all our offices up and down the UK. Doing so has seen record sales and new business creation across the company.

From strength to strength

“Since we first opened a Glasgow office in 2013, the business has grown incrementally. The hard work and dedication of our Scottish team to their customers has really put them on a path to replicate what the company has already achieved in Bradford. Seven years on and the office continues to go from strength to strength, which is the driving factor in our need to expand our space”, said Ben Gregg, Sales Director and co-owner of Complete IT Systems. “Our Glasgow team is now 10 strong and counting. Founded in 2007 by Paul Spence and Ben Gregg, Complete IT Systems grew to an £18 million turnover in 2019 and currently employs 62 staff. Its people continue to be the engine of its growth, and in recognition of this, the profit share scheme has returned 10% of all net profits to staff.

The company is also well known for building strong relations with the local community in its regional offices, playing a local role in Chamber of Commerce activities, and supporting a number of charities and educational initiatives in each city.

We’re hiring! IT Sales Account Managers in Glasgow

We are currently recruiting for experienced IT Sales Account Managers within our successful and recently expanded Glasgow office. Applicants must have proven sales experience within the IT reseller industry and have been accountable for the full sales cycle – from sourcing and lead generation to presentation and closing the sale.

The role will be to conduct office/telephone-based account management of your clients, as well as hunting for new business to continually grow your account base. You will need a good, current understanding of IT and be keen to learn more. Although you will primarily be office-based, your role will involve client visits as and when required.

This position will suit individuals who currently supply IT Hardware, Software, Support Services, Technical Office
Equipment, Supplies/Consumables, IT Security, IT Services and all Audio Visual products and services – all of
which the company supply. It will be your role to identify and generate new prospects and convert them into key
accounts, develop and manage accounts to their full potential, and continually update and develop product and
market knowledge.

Key qualities required for the position:

  • A proven, consistent IT reseller sales track record
  • A natural ability to build customer rapport & trust
  • Self-motivation and ambitious
  • The ability to manage time and workload
  • The analytical skill to assimilate information quickly
  • Natural business acumen
  • Experience of selling at senior levels within a company
  • A proven ability to recognise, develop and close business opportunities

Building on our growth

During the covid-19 pandemic, Complete IT Systems have kept our workforce working to keep our customers’ IT systems where they need to be and driving new projects forward. Similarly, our new business book continues to build, with strong demand for everything from cloud migrations to cybersecurity awareness training to essential supplies such as printing ink and toner.
